Born and raised in Britain, Kid Sister Phoebe has been playing music for a a couple of years, but only progressed from doing poor covers onto writing a few songs relatively recently. He first came into touch with the Antifolk movement after a friend lent him a Jeffery Lewis cassette.

By the way, the name Kid Sister Phoebe bears no relation to the TV programme 'Friends' but is from a turn of phrase in 'The Catcher in the Rye' by J.D Salinger. - 'While I was changing my shirt, I damn near gave my kid sister Phoebe a buzz'. Hopefully I can quote that much without getting prosecuted. It's a good book.
